Goodbye to Monts (7 June)

My Monts accommodation was a large studio, which used to be part of a working mill.  These gears in the corner of the room can still lift and lower the sluice gates.
Had the weather been better, I would have spent more time on the deck outside
enjoying the views of the river
and the garden.
The owners live in the mill next door, and I was invited in for coffee.  The workings from the mill are still there in the middle of their living room – the stone is textured but smooth to the touch.  Lise opened a little door, and you can see down into the river.
