Walking along the boulevard was interesting. I heard a procession (too late and too far away to take a good photo) of Africans and drums.
(When I got to my stop earlier in the day I'm sure a contingent for this procession was getting on there - there was very loud drumming and wave after wave of black African people coming onto the platform.)
This fountain surprised me.
Of course, cafes along here were the hangouts/offices/meeting places of so many famous people. My favourites were de Beauvoir and Sartre who patronised Les Deux Magots and Cafe de Flore.
I walked right along the boulevard up to the Pont de la Concorde, passing designer shops and gorgeous childrens boutiques along the way.
Love the erupting footpath/road.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see Les deux magots in real life!
