Place de la Concorde (April 25)

This is an enormous space - cars everywhere, and history in every atom you breathe.  To the left as you turn right onto the bridge is the large Assemblee Nationale building.
In case you've forgotten, here's a reminder that you're still in Paris.
No, not the cars, the pylon in the background.  An ancient obelisk from Egypt with gold leaf added in 1998.  This is one of two obelisks that once marked the entrance to the Luxor Temple.  It's twin is still in Egypt.

After today's efforts a sweet something was in order.  This is made of two meringue hemispheres joined with chocolate cream, covered in more chocolate cream rolled in sprinkles.
It took a few goes but I got through it!
