Vienna (May 22) - Part 1

An enormous memorial to the plague, in a street called Graben.
Narrow streets
and wide, wide streets
A mosaic and some surprises on building facades.
An Anna Torte at Demel - one of THE coffee houses.
It's truly from another era.
You have a view into the kitchen
and the precise work that's done.
Tourists check out the front window that changes regularly.
At the end of the street that Demel is on - Kohlmarkt - is the hofburg.  I like the lacy entry,
and the guard shelters.
Scars of use.
Don't you just love agglutinative languages?
The Secession Building - possibly one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen.
